I woke up at 2 am and then again at 3 am. I was temporarily excited because it meant I could get in a full extended morning practice if I hurried.
Instead, I remembered that I also could be in this moment and enjoy the morning practice.
So I spent a little more time in bed. Then I did 30 minutes of half sun salutations instead of 20 minutes.
It was very nice.
Of course, my never-satisfied mind that is driven towards becoming Homo Deus or tapping into my divine nature even more caught just enough of a glimpse of the potential to want to dive in even more.
Rather than embracing the delight of being in this morning’s practice, my mind wants more.
And I am okay with that. Awareness of the never-satisfied mind is a good thing.
