This is the Day That the Lord Has Made!
It’s no secret, this is the day that the Lord has made. Yet, how often do you wake up in the morning full of joy and happiness because you are glad that the day has begun?
Yet, in scripture, Psalm 118:24 tells us…
Now, what this Bible verse is reminding us is that when we wake up in the morning, no matter what this is the day that the Lord has made. And because of that we have reason to celebrate and rejoice.
Because, let’s face it. We all have various trials and tribulations happening in our life that we can use as an excuse to be unhappy and dissatisfied with life.
I’m sure, if you tried, you can think of a whole list of things that would make you happier if you had them.
However, truth be told. Starting now, if you don’t decide to be happy and celebrate all the blessings in your life. Then, more and more, you will find valid reasons and excuses as to why you can’t be happy now.
Contentment and happiness is a choice and a sign of spiritual maturity.
That’s why I am inviting you to release and let go of the excuses that you think are preventing you from living a happy and fulfilling life.
Spend time in prayer thanking God!
Thank God for all the blessings in your life.
Wake up in the morning and rejoice that this is the day that the Lord has made. Give thanks to God that you are healthy enough, happy enough and blessed enough to be glad in this day.
Give thanks to God and affirm that no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
As a matter of fact, to help you along in the process, consider this prayer of thanksgiving…
“God, thank you for blessing me with this amazing day. Thank you for this experience of life. I am singing you praise and my heart is overflowing with happiness and joy. I am willing to rejoice and be glad in this day. Amen.”
In the end, remember that this is the day that the Lord has made. You can rejoice and be glad in it right now. Don’t wait till you get a better job, make more money, or get out of the difficult situation that you are facing. You can choose to be happy, in this moment, in this day, and be glad in it.
