You have no idea what God has in your future: the doors He’s going to open, the people He’s going to bring, the places He’s going to take you. It may look like you’ve gone as far as you can. You could never accomplish your dream, never get out of debt, never own your own business. But you don’t know what God is up to. If He showed you the blueprint, if you could see into your future, it would amaze you.
What’s more, John Maxwell tells us in his NKJV Maxwell Leadership Bible that leaders with integrity can remain optimistic because even in Israel’s darkest hour, God assured the people of His plans to prosper them and give them a hopeful future. Just so, even when we don’t see immediate results, we can remain assured of God’s ultimate blessing and benefit. The fruit may not come immediately, but it will come ultimately.
As a matter of fact, Charles Stanley takes it one step further in his Life Principles Bible by saying God’s plans for us are always for our good. Although we may endure times of adversity, we always have hope because of His amazing lovingkindness toward us. And if we patiently and obediently wait for Him, He will most certainly fulfill His promises to us and purposes for us in a way that’s above and beyond all that we ask or imagine
