Grace comes to us in the form of Hope, that which says we can know and trust God, and will rejoice in what He has done for us. Let’s first make it a point to realize what that means.
In scripture it says, “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” -Romans 15:13
When you look at the Creation of the world, it is easy to get lost in the surroundings and feel like the world is an illusion. There is so much we are not sure about, but the idea of the beginning of all this is of course a fact that you should not ignore. The beginning is where everything starts.
We should not deny the existence of the Beginning, because that is the beginning. God created the world, and He expects us to know Him and love Him, and be thankful for Him. And hope is a wonderful thing. Why?
As we love God, he loves us back. And God wants to share His blessings with us. If we were to do nothing but listen to Him, the prayer of our heart would never end. But because we are in a relationship with God, and as we share His blessings with others, He always gives us more. God loves us and wants to keep us with Him, and as we take Him to be our Lord and Savior, His blessings increase, and we find that He is always with us in every time we need him.
How does God keep us in relationship with him? He makes us free. And being free, we know that God is there, and wants to keep us and treasure us, and we learn that the time to pray is now.
Prayer is that one thing that draws us to Him and is a way of communicating that we are about to receive His blessings. In prayer, we don’t merely hear the words; we hear the heart of God. When we focus on those words, they mean something. They become almost like music, a way to experience God’s presence, and a way of being close to Him.
Through prayer, we discover the mystery of God, and our relationship with Him becomes one of trust. What is the meaning of that trust?
By trusting God, we accept the promise that He will keep us safe, that He will protect us, and that He will bring good into our lives. So by our trusting the Creator and all that He has given us, we find that we live a blessed life.
We realize that we can trust God in all that we do, and that our actions, and decisions, are made in His eyes. Faith empowers us and God asks only to receive His love and trust. We make good decisions and live lives of peace. Because we understand what gratitude looks like and can look at what we have and what we are to give and receive, the Lord strengthens us.
In the world, where there is no peace, and no faith, our lives are empty. You might be caught up in the fast track of your career, your financial problems, your weight, your health, and many other things. Yet there is a peace and joy that cannot be taken from you. What is it?
It is the peace and joy that comes from knowing that God loves you and wants to give you all that He has. It is the peace that comes from knowing that in Christ, there is no longer anything else besides Him. It is that peace that He wants to give to us, and that is the reason we come to know Him and spend eternity with Him.
